Recall: plastic parts in a gourmet fillet

The Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety, Pickenpack Seafoods GmbH and the supermarket chain Netto Marken-Discount AG & Co. KG warn of a gourmet fillet offered by Netto. Apparently plastic foreign bodies got into the fish during the production of the frozen product.

Pickenpack Seafoods GmbH is recalling the "SeaGold Schlemmerfilet á la Italia" product sold by Netto in a 400 gram pack. The articles affected by the recall can be identified by the batch number L9338 and the best before date 12.2020. The batch number and the best-before date are printed on the narrow side of the packaging.

Other batch numbers with the stated best-before date as well as further best-before dates or other “SeaGold” products are not affected by the recall.

Nationwide recall

According to Netto Marken-Discount, the gourmet fillet was offered in all Netto branches nationwide. According to the discounter, it cannot be ruled out that white plastic parts may have gotten into individual packages of the gourmet fillet. For this reason, the sale was stopped and the goods were removed from the sale.

Please do not consume the gourmet fillets anymore

Netto asks its customers in consumer information not to consume the above-mentioned product anymore, since foreign objects in food pose a health risk and, depending on their size and nature, can cause injuries or breathing difficulties. The consumer will get the purchase price back if they show the empty packaging or the receipt in a net branch. Customer service will answer any further questions on 0800 200 0015. (vb)
