Spotted salmon in vegetarian lasagna
Migros has launched a recall campaign for a vegetarian lasagna. The reason for this is a packaging error that caused the product to contain salmon. Due to this error, allergy sufferers may experience a health risk. In addition, vegetarians shouldn't be happy if they eat an animal-free product that actually contains fish.

Recall initiated
The Swiss company Migros is recalling the product “M-Classic Lasagne Fiorentina”. Pieces of salmon have been found in the lasagna, which is usually only a spinach & ricotta filling. The company published a press release on its website.

Affected article
According to Migros, it is the following product:
Name: M-Classic Lasagna Fiorentina
Item number: 1305.002
To be consumed by: 17.5.2019
Weight: 400 g
Migros asks all customers with a fish allergy not to consume the affected product. A health hazard that arises as a result during consumption cannot be excluded. "Non-allergy sufferers can safely eat the lasagna", unless they want to do without animal products.
Purchase price will be refunded
Buyers are asked to return the affected product to the store. The purchase price will be refunded to you.
Important note for allergy sufferers
For people with a fish allergy, consumption can be harmful to health.
Allergies to food should not be underestimated
Food allergies have been increasing for many years. According to estimates by the German Allergy and Asthma Association (DAAB), around six million people are affected in this country. Allergic reactions to food are generally not limited to certain organs. The most common symptoms are reactions on the skin and mucous membrane, in the ear, nose and throat area, on the bronchi and in the gastrointestinal area.
For those affected, the consumption of the respective allergens can lead to itchy rash, sneezing attacks, shortness of breath, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, nausea and vomiting. (fm)
